ADULT INQUIRY CLASS WITH PASTOR SCHULTE
Several times each year as announced Pastor Schulte conducts a six week "Adult Inquiry Class". It is held on Sunday mornings, at 9:15. This class is provided for persons who would like to learn more about the Christian Faith and Lutheran Doctrine in preparation for considering membership at St. John Lutheran Church. The Class meets during the Sunday school hour so that parents with children may take their children to Sunday school during the class hour or take them to the nursery. The class provides a rapid review of The Old Testament, The New Testament, The Reformation, The Sacraments, Worship and the Christian Life. This is primarily a lecture series. No one is asked to read aloud and no questions have to be answered. Current members of St. John may attend the classes as a review. Persons who desire to become members of the body of Christ at St. John are received several times each year during Sunday Worship Services. Typically the congregation welcomes new members with a barbeque luncheon following the late service. Persons who have active membership in a Lutheran Congregation may request that their membership be transferred to St. John. Class attendance is not mandatory for active member transfer, but we do encourage it. Baptisms done in other denominational churches are honored and persons coming from other denominations may request that their membership be transferred.
